Can I just say that Forrest is SWOON! I lived for him so much and I am so loving how he got his happily ever after. How he wanted to be there for Briar made my heart so happy. Seeing how these two connected and how they built that relationship with not just each other but also how Forrest grew it with the twins! It was so sweet and endearing. Plus that sizzle between these two! I think what really got me was how much patience that Forrest had with Briar, and how much he just wanted to burn the world down for her after finding out her history. I adore this crew and I am so looking forward to the rest of the guys!

When I started this book, I wasn't prepared to be in tears within the Prologue! This book was an emotional rollercoaster, that I wasn't ready for however as soon as I picked it up, I couldn't put it down if I tried!
The story starts with Briar giving birth to her 2 adorable twins, River and Rayne and follows them to the town of Ashby where she and her twin sister have been raising them together whilst living with trauma and grief. Meanwhile, Forrest is adjusting to living by himself after his little sister marries his best friend and his house is suddenly very empty and lonely.
As soon as he meets Briar and her little girls, he falls head over heals in love with all of them, and we fall in love with him. Talk about a perfect, swoonworthy MMC.
Forrest is steadfast from the very start, knowing exactly what he wants and going for it, without reservation but with care and love for what Briar needs. Whilst Briar initially struggles to trust Forrest, watching her open up and accept love and found family into her life is handled with such care and compassion.
This one is going to be a comfort book for me for sure. Reading this was something akin to received a warm hug from Forrest.
