Die Idee fand ich sehr ansprechend. Aber die Umsetzung war nicht perfekt. Es ist insgesamt nicht so viel passiert in dem Buch und war manchmal irgendwie nicht rund.

Like many readers, I only heard about this book because of its recent adaptation. The movie looked decent, so I logically thought I'd pick the book up first. 

It reminded me of Murderbot with its vibe and tone, but it definitely has its own personality and themes. Mickey is an entertaining character. I found myself hooked almost immediately. The constant gallows humor combines perfectly with the captivating dystopian concepts. I hope the movie does it justice because I'm now pretty excited to see it.

It's fun! It has so much heart which I savored to the very last page. I enjoyed Mickey's voice.. he kept the narrative vibrant for me and I think I love him TT

Read it because I really enjoyed the movie - and I must say it really felt like an expanded version of the movie (also I say expanded but technically if theres 11 less Mickeys) more so expanded in the world/universe the story is set in

all in all: fun read! shouldn't have taken me as long as it did tbh since the story only take place over a couple days (didn’t love that every other chapter is a lore/backstory explanation, it really took me out of the story and made me want to skip ahead, but I understand that its sci-fi and its explaining things from its universe)

would 100% read it again
