I haven’t had a book make me so mad in a while.
Let’s start with Ryle. What an absolute piece of shit my god. From the beginning the red flags were LOUD. Like trying to manipulate her into sex, the love bombing…. Just no.
I wanted to like Lily but my god girl wtf were you thinking?!?! Like I give her props for doing the right thing eventually but I really wish it hadn’t came to that.
And the ending was just very rushed for me.
Like I get it prolly sets up for the next book but it just was sloppy to me.

I am definitely adding this book to my favorites!! It told an amazing story and i loved it so much!! It was beautiful.

found the plot and many details to just be very tacky in the beginning, though I definitely do not agree with the take that this romanticizing abuse, I actually think it's very accurate to how victims feel and think while in these kinds of situations. but fuck the author for trying to cover up her pedophile of a son. I wouldn't have supported the author by buying the book had I known about her controversy before hand.
