Loved it! Nick and Kami had sparks upon spark that just kept getting stronger.

Nick took a minute to realize that, (after he FORGOT HER BIRTHDAY), when a prank goes wrong. They've been "friends with benefits" for a while, hiding that from his sis, Felicity, who is also a good friend of Kami.

Plenty of cute moments, light laughs and just a little steam, but totally worth it.

On to the last book in the series, and they've all been great.

Awesome Installment

I love this work that Pippa Grant has created- obsessively so. Amazing, dynamic characters & a wonderful storyline make for an awesome book in this series. I simply can’t get enough.
Anyone who is a fan of romantic comedies will love this book. Heck, everyone should love it! It’s got farm animals, hockey, hilarity, sexy times, girl bonding, and a happily ever after. What more could you want? Nothing. Pippa Grant is a literary genius, and if you say otherwise, you deserve a beat down by the Berger twins.
Sigh- I love the Berger twins, especially Ares. (Ummm so if you haven’t read his book, you need to!)

We finally have Nick and Kami! Felicity's brother and her BFF!! This book is fun, goofy and hilarious all rolled into one Pippa Grant Romantic Comedy. I loved it so, so much!

The animals, the Berger twins, the pranking fun, this book is filled with so much fun and so much heart. I love when two people go on a journey that leads them to where they originally started, but in their own naive world they never saw themselves good enough or perhaps they actually weren't. However, during their journey together they help each other blossom into a better version of their former self because that is how the other person always saw them, the transformation is beautiful, especially when intermixed with farm animals and pranks.

"There's a note of self-deprecation in her voice that makes me want to hit something. Probably myself, because see again, I don't deserve her."

To begin, Nick and Kami have been friends for a long time, they actually went to high school together, although that is not when the friendship began. Nick didn't know Kami existed back in school, his single-minded focus on hockey has been something that has served him well in the rink, but not quite so well in the girlfriend department. Hence, his current situation where he finds himself with a cow in his apartment, (thanks to one Zeus Berger) and when he calls Kami, his friend with benefits, who also happens to be a veterinarian to help him out of his predicament, but forgets to add in one teeny-tiny detail before he ends his call...his single-minded life gets turned upside down.

"He called me first thing in the morning...to cuss about a cow and completely ignore my hints about what today is. I can't deny it any longer. He's a self-centered ass. He's always been an ass, and he'll always be an ass."

Kami is known as sweet, nice, loving and always willing to help out in a pinch when someone needs help, especially concerning an animal in need. It is how she has become the vet on call when the Thruster team uses a helpless animal in one of their pranks. When Nick calls her in a panic when another animal finds its way into the mix, Kami waits to see if Nick remembers to mention anything else while he's calling. Anything at all. Anything important. They have been seeing each other, soft of, for eight months and she knows they aren't exactly an item, per sae, but could he really have forgotten?

"The one person who's clearly missing is Nick. He wasn't playing dumb because he was coming to a surprise party...He forgot."

When Kami puts her foot down and decides she's more important than being forgotten, Nick finally wakes up and realizes he might lose the one person who actually understands him. The one person who knows him better than anyone and now he needs to turn that single-minded focus that has worked for hockey and pranks onto the girl who deserves it before he loses her forever.

This book is fantastic fun and I know you will enjoy it so make sure you add it to your list today!

Love

This is truly one of the funniest books I've ever read! Nick is a swoon worthy prankster who worships playing hockey and Kami. She's a veterinarian who always gets called in to save all the animals Nick is for pranks. She gains a bovine dog in the process... You'll just have to read this book to find out!

DNF 11%

I DNF’d another one of this author’s books for the other-the-top and not-funny-to-me humor, and the same thing happened here. I think she’s just not for me.

Do you want to laugh and fall in love? Then this is the story for you! Pippa Grant's Charming as Puck will make you laugh out loud, fall for a hockey player and want a cowdog for a pet! Nick is the goalie for the Thrusters, and he forgets his best friend with benefits and veterinarian, Kami's birthday. Kami wants more from Nick, but clearly, if he can't even remember her birthday, he has no interest in anything more. No longer happy with the situation, she distances herself from him. Will he realize his true feelings for Kami now? This story is heart warming and full of hysterically funny moments. The team is around with a few animal pranks, family with sage advice and a cow named Sugarbear that stole my heart. Give me a great sports romance, friends with benefits romance any day. It's a feel good romance that is written smartly and purely entertaining.

Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are the narrating team, and they scored a goal with their performance! Clarke is strong, yet vulnerable, funny and brings out all the feels in Nick. Kami is stubborn, but Peachwood gives her a soft side as her walls begin to crack. The two have incredible comedic timing adding so much to the humor and give all the emotion to make us frustrated and fall in love.

My obsession with Pippa started with Chase. He was my very favorite. For a long time... then she wrote Manning. He tied for the top spot... then came Dax. Oh Dax... he took over top spot. But my NEW number ONE is Nick. Oh my sweet misunderstood and dumb Nick. He is a typical man. Oblivious to the world around him - unless it comes to protecting his sister. Then Kami came in to his life and walked back out when he didn't SEE her. Who she truly was. Not just down for a good time Kami. Only then did Nick understand that she was his life. This book has all the Pippa funny that you've come to expect. But it also has all the feels.... all the feels you could ever want or need. I'm not sure how she does it but Pippa blows me away. EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. Definitely read this book. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

The cover of this book is completely ridiculous and cheesy, but it was a cute story. Is it crazy that I kind of want a pet cow-dog now? Lol Sugarbear was the cutest.
