Another cute short story collection from the Magnus Chase universe. Much like the Guide to Hotel Valhalla, this features short stories and a few illustrations that follow the main characters of the series on different adventures through each of the nine worlds. It's a really fun read and I enjoy seeing more of the characters [also hearing that Alex misses Magnus when he's away, awww], but as always I find it difficult to rate such short stories more than 3 stars. Still a great read for fans who miss the series though.

I loved these omg and I didn't expect them to like link together or be like cohesive so that was nice as well. Very short stories but a lot of fun so.
gosh I have miSSED these characters!!!
disappointed by the lack of Magnus tho ,,I wanted that good Alex and Magnus shit and I did not receive it

I would read an entire five-book series just about Alex Fierro.

Also, Rick: make Blitz and Hearthstone gay, you coward.

I liked it, but have to admit that listening to the audio book for this was a mistake. The voices just were not matching for me and took away some of the enjoyment of the story. I think I just gotta stay away from audiobooks for YA. Anyway, onto the actual content of the story - I loved that there was a silly string connecting all of the character's individual stories. It was kinda nice to have to other character's perspective in a series that we only had Magnus's pov the entire time but that also meant the deviation was a little odd. Overall, worth a read imo, just not amazing or fantastic.

3.5 stars. I’m reminded that Magnus Chase is not my mythology cup of tea. But it was fun.

I want more of Magnus Chase and Alex Fierro.
