This was a great thriller. It was filled with moments that left me genuinely scared and there were a few times I had to put it down before bed so I wouldn’t have nightmares. I love the way that the history of the Bronx was woven into the story and it’s definitely one I can see myself recommending to high schoolers.

I don't think I'm having an enjoyable enough time to finish the story. I think there are some good pieces to this but overall it just kinda bores me.

dark mysterious

this was a really engaging and unsettling book. i loved the way history was woven into the story and how a large part of the horror was connected to the very real (both historical and present) neglect, injustice and opression people have faced.
