A Beauty and the Beast meets Phantom of the Opera in a psychologically thrilling dark romance that had me by the throat and refused to let me breath. Guys, I was literally holding my breath. This was amazing! This book is a whole mood in its own. I love a book that comes with a playlist and this playlist is my playlist I swear.

The vibes of this book were so great! I loved the creepy haunted castle.
Lucien was such a great character. He was so tormented and I loved the flashbacks we got of him. It really made you feel like you understood him.
Isa was an unexpected character to me. She was so fierce and bold, but her background definitely surprised me. It made me like her even more.

This book was a TIME!
This book dived into some definitely dark and twisty topics, and I'm not 100% sure they were for me, or that I'd read another story where those are main plot points of the story- BUT I absolutely loved Lucian Backthorne and Isa's dynamic throughout this entire story- it truly had me hooked from page one!
I also loved the dual timeline where we would go back in time to Lucian's childhood, to see the cause of events that led to why he is the way he is today- I was really invested, and loved all of the storytelling and chain of events!
This book definitely will stay in my brain rent free- I loved every second of this one!
