I have never related more to a person in my entire life.

This story not only validated my feelings as an undiagnosed 20-something, but it also encouraged me to move forward with my neuropsychological evaluation.

Well that didn't take long.

I have a LOT of problems with this book and they were from the start. The author really has a self pity tone to her narrative that just seems to get worse. It also ends up painting the picture of her husband has an insensitive jerk who's a narcissist.

As an Aspie, I get the shock and misunderstanding of others. I've had plenty of horror stories too that could fill pages as well, but telling them don't do any good. It really just serve to make a person look bad for an insensitive reaction to a shocking diagnosis. Its not an easy thing to swallow.

The terrible narrative here is in part due to the timeline method the book was written in. I really believe it hurt instead of helped and for that - I am better off with other Aspies perspectives
