This short story can only be described as an incredible forecast of things to come more than one hundred years down the line.
It must also be the text I lost densely highlighted in my life (and I make my highlights always public, so feel free, but beware of spoilers).
Although not classically developed the 2 characters manage to convey even an emotional effect on the reader by the end of the book, which is an incredible achievement in something so dense with vision and developed in only 54 pages.
Please read it as soon as possible!

Es ist erschreckend, dass die Novelle 1909 geschrieben wurde und trotzdem so aktuell ist!
Gut gemachtes Hörbuch, dass sehr kurz ist (ich glaube knapp über eine Stunde), über das man aber dennoch nachdenken muss.

I love old SciFi, and this story is a perfect example. Even though it was written over 100 years ago, EM Forster managed to capture alot of the problems of the digital age.

Un libro escrito en 1909 que nos interroga acerca de las condiciones de existencia que hemos construido en pleno siglo XXI, y que alerta las posibles consecuencias de llevar al extremo el adormecimiento creciente de nuestros sentidos y experiencias, ya sea con aquello que nos rodea, como así también con nosotr@s mism@s. Una pregunta directa hacia el sentido de la existencia humana.
