2019 Pop Sugar Reading Challenge-A book that has inspired a common idiom.

I kind of feel like this was Roots for dogs. You have a perfectly happy house dog being kidnapped and enslaved as a sled dog. I found it depressing. But, it was also exciting and well-written, and emotional.

Forced to read by a Junior High English Teacher. I liked it okay, not something I would have been interested in otherwise. Probably would have liked it better if I didn’t have to answer an insane list of essay question provided by the teacher.

Mrs.E sure knew how to kill a love of reading.

Best dog over!

A lot of the time Wilderness or nature setting books are boring to me.... The Call of the Wild is not one of those books. You jump into the story of Buck Who becomes a sleigh dog and the struggles and learning of surviving in that environment.
