Would be a five star but the injustice Althea faced and that was never resolved broke my heart. Also Fuck Wintrow.

end of an era oh my god!!! what a trilogy!!! I already miss it!!!

While I don’t think this conclusion quite stuck the landing, I am happy with where we’ve left these characters. It’s a strange feeling because in theory I got every outcome I wanted, but some of it feels a bit unearned.

Regardless, this is my favorite Hobb trilogy (so far) and I can’t wait to dive into the next one! My beloved fool returns 🫶🏽

I did enjoy this book. I had to let Hobb cook but it all came together at the end. As I've heard before, I think the characters are what really shines here. The growth of certain characters across the trilogy is immense. I'm down to read more Hobb.
