Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for providing this book, with my honest review below.

Hot Hex Boyfriend was a delightful witchy romance. Delia is the witch in question here and she was a light and entertaining character (I also loved her body positivity, which was not made a focal point of the book but gave her character an underlying self confidence I feel is still rare to see in books). Delia’s family is also great, as they are convinced they are witches despite showing no talent in bewitching anything, but rather than coming off as delusional as a result this becomes a quirk that makes them even more fun. Finally, Max, who is aware he is a witch and living next door to stop Delia from realizing she truly is one, was a standout male main character, serious but with a lot of heart and no chips on his shoulder that could make for an awkward read.

Brought together these characters (and more) hide things from each other, fall in love, and save the witch world. What’s not to love when the story has a great premise and is written so well?

How excited I am to be reading witchy books again!!

First I want to say thank you to NetGalley for approving me to read this book in exchange for an honest review!

This book is fun, witchy, a lil’ spicy and all the dramatics!

4.5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley, Forever, and Grand Central Publishing for this advanced copy! You can pick up Hot Hex Boyfriend now.

I LOVED this adorable, small-town, witchy romance! The magic system was fascinating, the characters absolutely delightful, and the romance wonderfully tense. I literally finished this in one sitting because I wanted to stay wrapped up in the cozy feelings it embodied!

Delia and Max's forced proximity, enemies to friends to lovers romance was super cute, but I honestly loved the emphasis on familial love and relationships even more. Delia's aunts were so much fun, and you could tell they'd do anything and everything for Delia. We also saw so much growth from the Halifaxes, who opened up more emotionally and bonded more as a family throughout the book.

This is going to become my go-to rec for cozy, spooky reads this fall, and I can't wait for everyone to read it!

I was originally denied for this title pretty quickly by Hachette Audio and I was really sad but my girl Estelle from Forever came throughhh with the widget! Thank you so much to Forever, Carly, and NetGalley for the advance audiobook!

This was definitely one of my most anticipated reads of Fall 2024. The catchy title and beautiful cover immediately drew me in and the release date nestles perfectly with my spooky reading season tbr. The title is so modern and appropriate for the plot and I love it! I’m so glad I was able to add an early audio of this title to my tbr!

The first 50% was very slow burn on the romance and the plot line and it had a lot of fluffy fill and backstory. At that point it was about 3 stars. But I got more invested in the story after that when the plot and the romance (

Thank you so much to Forever and Netgalley for providing an advanced copy of this. All thoughts and opinions are still my own.

This fall has been the hunt for contemporary set, slightly paranormal romances that I love. So I was excited for this witchy, enemies to lovers romance.

Sadly I just didn't enjoy the writing style or humor of this.

This book is very whimsical and quirky. And I just wasn't enjoying that style or the characterizations of either MC. This also relies heavily on the MCs keeping secrets, and I've just found that, that trope often frustrates me out of enjoyment.

If you really enjoy cozy mysteries or quirky families, I think this is still worth giving a read! It's just a style you're either going to love or not vibe with.

Terrible writing. Not engaging at all. Narrator used a horrible Southern accent.
