Hot Hex Boyfriend is a charming, cozy read with just the right amount of magic and romance, perfect for spooky season! Delia Merriweather is a relatable, down-to-earth protagonist who gets pulled into the wild world of witchcraft thanks to her eccentric family’s belief that she's destined to break a hex. Her family was vibrant and quirky, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, though occasionally a bit over-the-top. I especially appreciated her mother, Fiona, for bringing a touch of balance to the kookiness of Delia’s aunts and grandmother.

Max Halifax was the perfect broody counterpart to Delia, and I loved the dynamic between the logical Max and Delia’s chaotic family. Max’s brother Luke and the mischievous Nicky were also fun additions, bringing humor and a unique twist to the magical mishaps that follow Delia’s family.

The magic system was enjoyable and easy to follow, adding a lighthearted twist to the story without overcomplicating it. Laura Knight Keating did a great job with her narration, making Delia’s Texan accent charming without overdoing it. I wasn’t as fond of Zion Jang’s portrayal of Delia—his voice for her felt a bit too breathy, and his Texas accent was a little exaggerated. However, this didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the audiobook.

If you’re looking for a cute, magical romance with quirky characters and an easy-to-follow storyline, Hot Hex Boyfriendis a delightful pick!

This book was pure magic! 🧙‍♀️ 𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗫 𝗕𝗢𝗬𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺 (@𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴) filled my heart with warm and cozy fall vibes from start to finish. Delia Merriweather, the down-to-earth heroine who doesn’t believe in magic, comes from a quirky family of witches who think she’s destined to break their family’s hex. Enter Max Halifax, the brooding new neighbor with his own magical secrets, and chaos (plus a little romance) ensues. Delia and Max have undeniable chemistry, and the witty, enchanting moments between them make this a delightful read. The story had me giggling out loud—Delia’s eccentric family added layers to the stoy! And can we talk about Nicky the imp? He absolutely stole the show! 🐾 With its perfect blend of humor, heart, and a touch of spice, this book is a must-read for anyone craving a magical fall romance. 🍂✨
