I've been waiting for the conclusion to this trilogy for a long time and it was exactly what I hoped it would be! The story was great and filled with action, but its core was the conflict within Ruby and the resulting dramas between her and Arcus/Kai. I felt for Kai for the most part, but I'd hoped he'd gotten the message earlier.

As for Ruby and Arcus, well, I've always loved their relationship and romance, and it definitely had some bittersweet moments. Still, as frustrated as I could be with them at times, I never stopped caring about them or rooting for their growth as people, and always ended up smiling at their fun, romantic banter.

The ending was really inventive and I enjoyed it a lot, though the final few pages seemed to wrap things up really quickly. Still, any minor gripes I might have did nothing take away the thrilling experience of reading this fantastic series. I'm honestly going to miss all of these characters, Ruby and Arcus in particular. I highly recommend the FROSTBLOOD SAGA to any young adult fantasy lovers, and anyone looking to read a great romance for the end of summer!

I was pleasantly surprised by how this series ended. Arcus and Kai play major roles in helping Ruby to free the Minax from her body and defeat Eurus. With several twists and turns, jaw-dropping revelations and a satisfying ending, fans will not be let down. A great fantasy series for those fans of Sarah J. Maas and Victoria Aveyard.

I'd like to be proud that I just dove into this book and finished it. However, I'm not because it came almost a year ago.. and now all I can think about is that I'm seriously slacking in the reading department. I feel so off my groove.. and I have no idea what to do about it.

Nightblood was unsurprisingly amazing. I knew it was going to be because I'm absolutely in love with this entire series. I'm just super upset with myself for taking 800 years to finally dive into it. It's not like I was that busy last August.. so yeah - wtf self?

Back to the book - Ruby, I love her. She continues to grow in front of my eyes. I will admit thought that I was a bit skeptical about the whole Minax influence thing.. but it eventually worked itself out. Another thing I noticed was the random roller coaster dip in this book. For example, the beginning was a bit fast paced that I'm surprised I didn't end up with whiplash. The middle was kind of eh.. like I was on a lazy river tube ride or something. Then as we are inching closer to the ending, wham - again it was a bit intense. So basically it was a crazy but enjoyable ride.

Speaking of that ending, hot damn guys. I wasn't expected to be stabbed like that. Definitely loved the happily ever after (in a way) but can you warn a sister next time?

This isn’t spoiler heavy but there are a few minor things that I don’t want to spoil for anyone so yeah

Ok so last night, I wasn’t planning on it, but I finished this book. I had like around 90 ish pages left and wanted to go to bed early but 90 isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things and I can’t stop in the middle of a battle scene, so yeah I finished it. And I may or may not have cried even though I knew what was going to happen because this was a reread. Honestly I forgot how much I love this series and it has a happy ending which just makes me so happy. I feel like so many times authors try to surprise us and make us feel emotions but they give us these not so happy endings that I just can’t handle. So this series gives you everything you could ever want in terms of characters being happy. Arcus and Ruby are just so cute together and I love them so much. And I ended up giving this book a higher rating then the second book because idk this one had more action but also more intimate moments with ruby and arcus and just deep convos between them and I loved it all.
I honestly don’t know what to read next/how I’m supposed to start a new book because I’ve been rereading this series for probably around a month now and it’s been a constant in my life and I don’t want it to go away haha. Also there was something nice about knowing that the couple (that I adore with all my heart) ends up together. Tears were still shed (fine I’ll admit it) but it wasn’t hit wrenching pain or anything which is good not to feel all the time.
