This book was based on an idea by Siobhan Dowd who died of breast cancer in 2009. It tells the tale of a young boy coming to grips with his mother's impending death from cancer. The book is truly powerful and I wonder how they were able to bring the story to the screen. I found this book to be incredibly creative and beautiful in how raw the emotions came from the pages.
