I liked hearing Bell’s internal monologue throughout the story, but I still wish we would’ve had more clarity on Moss’ death. He was a main protagonist and the vagueness on being gunned down in a motel is mildly annoying. Otherwise, great story.

Saw the movie, and it seems to have been a faithful enough adaptation that going through the book wouldn't add anything new.

I’ve now read 4 Cormac McCarthy novels and each brings its own type of dread and horror to you. This novel brings you the horror and dread of senseless violence and the endless pain it causes. It’s no country for old men because they can’t comprehend it. Sheriff Bell personifies that feeling. It’s a moving if haunting novel that shows how a violent country leads to violent people, and how hopeless it feels against a wave of change. Also, Anton Chigurh is the ultimate badass and one of the greatest antagonists in American literature.

Might be even better than the movie! This book sums up what’s great about westerns, just give it a go
