Hmm. I enjoyed the learning path our intrepid hero traveled over the first half of the book far more than the 40,000 questions and answers with questions of the last half. Lyrical, poetic, philosophic, dream-like.

Out of all the inspirational and life affirming books I have read, this is my favourite. I will be buying a paper copy and I am sure to go back to it's many lessons over and over. Loved this book

One of my favorite books. I read this book in high school and it changed my life. I have never felt that way about a book before that or since.

I liked this book when I read it, but that was about 20 years ago, now I feel a little uncomfortable about Hermann Hesse being a German guy writing about Buddhism and people living in India. Maybe I have to read this book again.
