I am just not enjoying the therapy session format, nor do I like the writing in general. I also think listening to the audiobook isn't the best way to do it since the book is very much like a script between two people but the audiobook is all read by one person. The title makes it feel like the book would be a little more entertaining or at the very least make me feel like I could connect with the writing, but I can not.

this would be interesting to someone who has never been to therapy. To someone who has already heard or learned these things, it's nothing new or interesting. The structure of this book is really interesting. It's a lot of transcripts of the therapy session and while I questioned at first if this could really be considered her "writing" if this is a conversation that she's copying down, I realized the book's editing is what supports her intent and what is uniquely creative. The postscripts of the chapters and at the very end I think are somewhat interesting but are too forcibly optimistic over and over again. The writing style also isn't as interesting and I see this is partially limited by the repetitive idealism.
