An excellent prequel that made me really excited for the rest of the series!
I enjoyed learning more of the past back story from the world of the Witchlands and the sightwitch.
Kullen and Ryder are good characters it was nice to know more about there personal past and are now to me more likeable characters.
Good novella just a touch too long for my personal liking ☺️

*3.5*
A solid 3.5. I really enjoyed the action in this. For once, it wasn't about everyone running away from other people, but rather about Ryber trying to find her sisters. I liked all the little notes that there were throughout the book. I thought they were cute and pretty laughable. And, I also loved Kullen so much.
The biggest thing I didn't like about it was that it was pretty confusing. I don't know if it was supposed to be left as confusing, but if it was written like that on purpose, it's not my style. The whole building 6 doors thing confused me. They never really explained why Libset was so powerful and how she could see so far into the future. Also, why did Cora say Audean is going to be older then her of he hasn't even been born yet? Why did Kullen cleave and then uncleave? I don't know if we'll get these answers and more in book 4, but I hope we do because I don't like unfinished writing, lol.
BR with Riya!

RTC ...
It's here....YAY (another jumble of thoughts)
I'm assuming everyone has read the previous two books Truthwitch and Windwitch~
So here's a jumbled/very basic synopsis of what's going on:
Sightwitch is kind of a prequel because it tells the journey of Ryber Fortiza (a side character we didn't get too see much of) before the events of Trutchwitch etc... She was residing at a hidden convent with her sisters who one after another....never return after going into the mountain.....
Anyways. I adored Sightwitch <3 Dennard has definitely improved writing-wise, and she has continued to make beautiful friendships. T-T The friendships are the best parts of her books, and I honestly want to see more portrayals like Dennard does.
The expansion of the world was wonderful especially the touch of history/stories. As a history lover, reading about stories/history of said stories within stories makes me very happy! The Twelve Paladins were so fascinating.
Also, the illustrations, journal entries and the map were lovely too!
Extra plus... the book was pretty <3 (and signed ;)) A nice addition to the shelf.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite fantasy series. The magic is unique, the characters engaging, and each book only serves to make new want more. Ryber was a great background character in the other books, but this illustrated prequel makes me love her even more. This is easily my favorite book in the series (so far!).
