This book is insanely looooooong, but good. I'm a huge fan of the Tudors era, so well-versed in Catherine of Aragon's story, but the level of detail in this version was far beyond anything I've read to date. Highly recommend if you're a fan of this time period, but be prepared to not read much else for a while.

This was my first time reading about the Tudor time period in hist fic. I enjoyed the setting and the pace of the novel. The book was very well written, but it was very depressing. Poor Kate :(

she was so flawed. because of the time difference, she is seen as brave. i see her as stubborn. not necessarily a bad thing. but a lot of things would’ve been fixed if treated different. i do appreciate her strength and perseverance, but there was moments where i would fight with her.
