For a romantic comedy, this book was so good. I was relieved that some of the very overdone tropes were absent from this book (don’t worry: there are still plenty of them awaiting you in the almost 400ish pages).

The characters were either likable or despicable. Half of the characters are truly terrible people and the other half seem like they could be your best friend. Idk what it is about the books I’m reading, but usually there are just a lot of characters that are hard to like, so this was a nice change.

The pages just kept turning as I got further and further into the book. I put down all the other books in my queue and only read this until I was done. This book was enjoyable and actually made me feel real feelings.

I’m fairly sure that the ex-finance (male) in this book was manipulating and controlling the FMC. Maybe this book could help someone else in a relationship similar to theirs? There’s a beautiful takeaway in this book about not letting yourself get isolated from the things and people you love.

I can’t believe I’ve written this much about a romcom book, but it was truly everything that everyone hyped it up to be. Hope you enjoy(ed) it too!

It's rare to find a book that warms my heart and leaves characters lingering in my mind. I absolutely adored this one—my new favorite by Emily Henry.

Second book club book complete! This was my second Emily Henry read and it was a worlds better than Happy Place imo. Miles was so lovable and the writing style/banter was super fun & engaging. I thought the way the characters dealt with their own childhood traumas and how it affected them now felt very realistic. Also, thought the love story was well paced and really loved the side characters like Ashleigh and Julia! Daphne was a little unlikeable for me and felt a little bit pick me, but she did grow on me! 4.25 stars??? Probably 4.5 specifically in the romcom realm

Not sure why but this Henry didn't really do it for me. perhaps I am still too jaded for a roommates to lovers story and exceptionally disenchanted with exes getting married.

Perfect for a lonely train ride home from Union Station

I laughed. I cried. I loved this book so much! I listened to the audiobook, which is narrated by Julia Whelan, who’s one of my favorite audiobook narrators, and she did a fabulous job with this one.

I did like this one but I was left with unanswered questions and I HATE when that happens. I also feel like her books are starting to feel like the same font just different characters. However that does not stop me from eating these books up.
