Nixon and Kenzie are *chefs kiss.* I love their story and how it played out. I devoured this one. I haven’t read Bella’s previous books though so it felt like I was missing A LOT. And there are so many characters I had trouble keeping up with everyone. Just assume everyone is related somehow… except the two main characters LOL

I did not imagine Kenzie and Nixon would work so well together but here they are! The book is easy to read. The story is entertaining: I live for the text exchanges between the girls! There is something special about your best friends being your soulmates, which was the theme throughout the Playing to Win series and this book! It’s also the perfect setup for a new series, bringing more attention to other female characters like Caitlin and Bellamy, and giving Callum more air time… don’t forget to download the bonus chapter, that’s a very good teaser for the next book!

So if you dont know Bella's books, I would highly suggest reading them. Tempting is the first book in the Red Lips & White Lies series thats set in the fictional world of Kroydon Hills and all the amazing drama they have in their lives. I have loved Bella since I randomly chose to read one of her books one random day.
Kenzie and Nixon have the most amazing banter in the series, and frankly I was not expecting him to be so dirty. Again I say, Bella you have done it again. It was supposed to just be a fake date. One night of Kenzie being able to let off steam and just live....too bad she didnt know Nixon had other plans.
All in all, I cant say too much about this story as it will give it away. But if you're looking for a lighthearted read, a tooth rotting HEA and a guy who is head over heels for his woman, this is the book AND the author i recommend.

Here’s the thing… it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing. I felt like it was a lil unrealistic…. But you know what, get it girl. I related to the FMC so much. A badass OB/GYN that has sleeping problems and abandonment issues and likes shifter romances…. Girl me too. But she kinda jumped into this relationship too fast and gave me a head rush, but you do you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

🩷 The cleanse to my book slump I never knew I needed until I NEEDED to devour this books.
🩷 This was my very first Bella Matthews book and I realized with all these side characters it looks as though imma be adding her entire back log to my endless TBR! Seriously, this was that good!
🩷 As yall know I’m a sucker for a good best friends sister / fake dating / f it moment - and this book delivered all my favorites. I loved how it wasn’t super fast paced but wasn’t a super slow burn - it was absolute perfection.
🩷 I love intelligent, hard working, independent FMCs and Kenzie is no different. She gave me what I needed and I ate it up with a spoon. Begging for more of her.
🩷 Don’t get me started on the mouth that Nixon Sinclair has - cause lorttttttt I am still too hot and bothered and not over it.

This book was well written, and i loved the characters. The relationship between Nixon and Kenzie was developed so well, and I enjoyed the spice between them. This book continues Bella's amazing work. Her books keep getting better and more enjoyable.

I absolutely loved how short, sweet and low stress this book was. It was everything I needed and the perfect pallet cleanser. I came for the best friend’s brother trope and stayed for all the swoony, spicy and banter filled moments. I absolutely loved the professions each character had. The dynamic between an obgyn and pro hockey player was everything. I am quickly becoming a huge Bella Matthew’s fan and can’t wait to see where she takes the rest of this series.
