Normally books with a lot of sex aren't my favorite but something about this one just stuck with me. The two of them were so cute and I just wanted them to be together. Mackenzie just needed to realize that he was never going to leave her.

I enjoyed this book, but itโs not as good as the 4 in the previous series by this author. I really liked the characters themselves and it was fun seeing the side character woven throughout the story. Their relationship was just a bit too many spicy scenes not enough substance. Hopefully this isnโt setting the standard for this new series.
There were a few really emotional scenes. And an aspect I really liked was that both characters knew what loving relationships looked like from their parents. And that they took the lessons that theyโve been taught from them and applied to their lives.
Would still recommend but just felt everything was rushed and a little underdeveloped because of how much was spent on the spice.

Review: Tempting. What a book. This book shot right up to my favorite spot within Bellaโs second generation books! Nixon and Kenzie rival with Beckettโs book, Overruled, which ironically happens to be Kenzieโs adoptive motherโs book. Nixon and Kenzie were EVERYTHING I love about hockey and medical romances! From start to finish I was unable to put this book down and I am only sad for them to close out the Hayes family books!
Kenzie was the FMC we had seen the least of so far in the second generation and WOAH. She was a force. I liked that while she was a go-getter and a fierce doctor, she also had a softer more vulnerable side. Bella really did a terrific job with creating all of her layers in this book and she was the one who immediately drew me into this story. Her relationship and growing feelings towards Nixon also warmed my heart because little miss oblivious was so in her head she never realized that Nixon had secretly pined for her his whole adolescent life.
Nixon Sinclair. Can we give this guy a standing ovation or what? I knew from the first mention of him back in Lindyโs book, The Keeper, that he would hold my heart in an iron fist. There really was never a point in this book where I was like, Nixon what are YOU DOING?!? Instead, he slowly but surely made me fall head over heels for him as we see him pick up Kenzie and encourage her to stand up for her dreams and reach for everything she wants. I adored the way he was her biggest cheerleader but also the dirty talking, HAWT man who rocked her world. Bella really set the bar high for MMCs in this series after setting the stage with him and I cannot wait to finally get Callan and Maddox soon.
Kenzie and Nixon have the shortest fake relationship I have read to date. And I AM HERE FOR IT! I knew right away these two were much more than โfakeโ and loved how they both sat in denial (Kenzie more than Nix). While Bella can do this trope well, what shined through in this book was the team captainโs little sister trope and Easton did NOT disappoint. I dare say his reaction was more over the top than Beckettโs. Nixon stood out in this regard because instead of backing down he was blatantly obvious that he was not giving up Kenzie and that they should just move on since he was there to stayโฆand wowweee did the heat turn up during that! Overall, Tempting is one of my favorite Bella books to date and I can only hope this is a hint at how mind blowing the read of this series will be!

Erin Mallon, Ava Erickson and Lance Greenfield dominated Kenzieโs & Nixonโs romance and I cannot believe how much I fell in love with the story in ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฅ๐๐๐ all over again after listening.
Erin is one of my frequent narrators and she really put herself into Kenzieโs story and character. The raw emotion she put into the vulnerabilities and insecurities Kenzie had allowed me to really feel and imagine the story in my head and it made it extremely hard to press pause! Lance also did phenomenal with the narration of Nixonโs voice as well. For me, Lance was everything in ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฅ๐๐๐ as a narrator since Nixon was my absolute favorite character in this book and he went above and beyond in his narration of Nixon from beginning to end.
๐๐๐๐ก๐ฅ๐๐๐ is a audiobook that surpassed the ebook for me and I am excited to continue on with the next book in the series. This audiobook truly had everything you would want in narration and storyline and it is a standing ovation for Bella giving us such a phenomenal addition to our collection of audiobooks!
Rating: 100+; Nixon Sinclair continued to give me swoon level palpitations in the narration of his story and ooo what a way to go!

Nixon is an NHL star player. From a family of famous football and hockey players, he has to work hard to be in the limelight. He has loved Mac from a far since they were kids. And when he sees her tense up around Dr. D!ck, he knows he needs to stake a claim on her. Sure, letโs call it fake dating. For now. His team captain (Macโs brother) will totally understand.
Seriouslyโฆ obsessed. I giggled multiple times. The filthy mouth on Nixon! The cute banter between them. Dangโฆ
But also the softer tender moments brought tears to my eyes. Lizโs (Mackenzies late mother) letter to Juliette (her surrogate mother) had me bawling like a baby. Life truly is so short. Donโt let time steal moments from you!

I've been waiting for Kenzie's book ever since I've known Bella Matthews was going to do the second gen. I love even more that she found her HEA in Nixon. I was not expecting him to be so bossy, but boy, did I love it. His mouth was delicious, and his "lessons" bright them both together in something that was always meant to be.
I have always been a fan of Bella Matthews writing, and this book had me wishing there was a little more to it. My only complaint was towards the end with Dr. Dick. I just felt like that was out of nowhere with little to no explanation. I was left confused on that part. Plus Kenzie's reaction to that, then straight to a-okay, in love. I wish it would have explained more, and it felt a little rushed for that moment. That could only be me though ๐คทโโ๏ธ

This book starts with Nixon helping Kenzie out by pretending to be her boyfriend when a doctor she works with shows up that's been creeping her out. Nixon can feel the vibes coming from her and steps in to "fake date" her to a gala that this doctor will be at who doesn't leave Kenzie alone.
The night at the gala turns into Nixon, finding out about how inexperienced Kenzie is. They say up an arrangement that he will "teach" her sexual things. A no strings attached agreement.
Once they start, they start getting attached to each other. Nixon knows what he wants, and it's only been her. But he struggles to try and find himself in a family full of legacies and dealing with the pressures. He finds himself stuck between wanting the girl and wanting to branch off away from his family.
Kenzie has never needed or wanted anyone in her life besides her family. She doesn't let anyone in due to not wanting to lose them. She had worked hard to get where she's at and fund herself dealing with letting Nixon in and a sleezy doctor who won't leave her alone.
They both deal with their issues separately, and when they come out, it could leave this couple in trouble. Plus, dealing with this family who knows each other and is always in your business is not what Kenzie wants at all. She wants to keep everyone in dark, but with a family that size, the pressure is always a lot to her. Will they get their HEA, or will the struggles of life keep them as friends?
This is a great book to read. Especially if you've followed all of Bella Books and have wondered about Kenzie? I was so upset when she didn't get her book in the last series when all her best friends did. It just wasn't her time yet, but it is now. I wonder if this series is going to gravitate more towards the guys we saw in last season. Nixon was first in this book, and we saw Leo, Callen, and Bellamy more. I know Callen is up next in this lineup, and I can't wait to read who has this stunning football player in a hold. I think we're breaking off from hockey next book and going to football.
