I have yet to find an Emily Henry book that disappoints me.

I wasn't sure I'd like Funny Story due to its setup, but I absolutely loved it. Emily Henry has this amazing way of developing her characters into what feels like real friends and real people. The dialogue and emotions feel so real that your heart genuinely breaks for them at times.

Daphne and Miles are beautiful, nuanced people in a shitty situation that are trying to move through it. They have their past traumas, which comes back to bite them, but they match and support each other beautifully through them.

I have such a book hangover from this because of how much I felt like I knew all the characters in this, but there's no more story to follow with.

Overall this was a good read. Light hearted and not too serious. I liked the relationship that was presented in the book. Although, the entire time I was reading this, I couldn’t help but think that Emily Henry likes to reuse tropes and it kind of made me think that she just writes the same book in different settings. Just my thoughts but doesn’t make it a bad book! But I probably won’t read another one of hers because of the repetition.

She's done it again, folks. I love fake dating as a trope and this delivered.

This book was truly a masterpiece. The characters and their hardships are so relatable and well written that you feel like you're experiencing everything right there with them.

Miles is the misunderstood, but perfect golden retriever friend/roommate/ lover - a perfect match for Daphne, the guarded, but you'll love her once you get to know her, quirky librarian.

I don't think there was one thing I didn't love about this book (except Peter. Peter is an a**hole).

I laughed out loud, I teared up, I loved the love for books and libraries! This one has knocked Book Lovers off of my favourite Emily Henry book. Sweet and spicy, and all around great.

Actually finished this on the plane yesterday but was too tired to write my review.

I loved this one.

Miles and Daphne were so incredibly fun and dynamic and the banter was top notch. I loved how lighthearted and sweet the story was and it was just like a nice breath of fresh air. The side characters were super fun too, like Ashleigh was so snarky and Julia was really sweet. Peter and Petra can eat my shorts though. I hated them and was happy they didn’t get the happy ending.

Speaking of endings, I loved how in the end, Daphne was the one that got to tell their story.

I JUST LOVED THIS ONE, OK?!
