Enjoyed the story for a light read. Too spicy for my taste in parts, with a bit more language than needed, IMO.

Yeah we’re giving this book 5 stars. I was a little skeptical about the plot of the book but once I started reading there was no stopping. Emily just really does it for me with these books, she’s feeding my soul honestly. Besides the main plot, I really enjoyed reading the complicated reality of life through interpersonal relationships with her friends and family, specifically her father (I can relate). Great read!

Ok this book was so stinking cute. I’m obsessed with the main characters and believe from the start they are meant to be.
From broken engagements to living with your ex fiancé’s new girlfriend’s ex… this book is so stinking good.
Emily Henry has an incredible way of writing her characters as real people. People with lives and emotions and backstories and real human flaws.
Every single person on earth has a life that has shaped them into who they are, and the way we react and use our experiences to better ourselves is what makes us human.

This book was a perfect mix of romance, self-reflection, friendship and family dynamics. I really love the way Emily Henry takes the romance genre and makes it more profound, more complex - all the while being really funny, too. Only reason why this didn't get 5 stars is because the smut scenes gave me whiplash, and I couldn't fully get into them because I was scared a family member was going to interrupt them halfway through. But other than that, this is great.

I'm glad I didn't give up on Henry after disliking People We Meet On Vacation so much 💕

love love this book and emily henry’s poetic writing. i laughed and cried and was left with that warm fuzzy feeling that you can only get from a good romance book.

edit: i bumped up my rating because i can’t stop thinking about this book. such a sweet story 🩷
