Emily Henry’s books always hit home. The characters are complicated and very real. I also really liked that Miles and Daphne were introduced to us in the worst time of their lives. Miles was brought as a very unattractive person but his personality won ways. The situation is very unusual and could be really weird but the chemistry makes the story believable.

I hated Peter and Petra and am very glad they broke up so soon again. It also goes to show how shallow and deeply wrong these people were for Miles and Daphne. The third act breakup was done really well and fit into the arc of the characters throughout the story. I really liked that we got a time jump and that they weren’t getting married so soon but instead decided to live together (again).

All in all a very good romance novel perfect for the summer.

I honestly really liked this book, there was a few moments near the end where I felt like way too much was happening, but overall the love in this story felt real to me. Plus I love this trope 😈

loved it obviously emily henry always does such a great work on her books and describing the feeling of her characters and what they are going through. her dialogues are one of the best honestly. loved miles and daphne so much they’re such complex character which is something i feel i say about every character of emily henry but is so true they are so different from each other but still they manage to work so well. i love how daphne is now set on building her own life and not be scared of hoping for something more and is truly heartbreaking how miles thinks he lets people down when is not true. loved it so so much
