Edit: Just reread this and still love it so I bumped it up to 5 stars.

Full disclosure: I read this book before I won it in a giveaway. I loved this book, it was such as weird premise and delivered on staying entertaining. It feels like it should be in the same universe as John Dies at the End, which is definitely a compliment. This is my first read for this author but, I hope he does more weirdo stories with dry humor like this.

This is a silly book but you already know that before reading based on the synopsis but this was funny and cute, albeit infused with a bit too much colorful language. I love books where there is obvious character growth. Lillian finds purpose caring for the "fiery" twins and the twins in turn become less heinous when they realize someone loves them. It's quite endearing and while it's more of a 3.5 star book, I’m rounding up for the overall enjoyment factor.

Kind of a silly book, easy to read. Nothing incredibly profound, main takeaway is that children (no matter whose) add value and meaning to your life.
