I wish I could give more stars. Such a beautifully written and tragic story, with hope at the end of the journey. I found I slowed my reading pace just to savour every word. To say I enjoyed this story doesn't feel like the right wording but it was just wow! From start to finish - the author put a lot in and you as the reader get to pull it all out. Just beautiful - the descriptions and wordings - you get such a good grasp of the characters, you feel like you are there with them, taking every step. My favourite part is the keyword that is pulled out - on a separate page in gold with a beautiful faded design around it - always perfectly placed.

Absolutely heartbreaking, cried from the beginning to the end. The storytelling was absolutely beautiful I learned more about bees than I thought I would. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

i usually do not work with half stars, but for this book, i decided to make an exception. it's so great and discusses such important themes. i really loved the character development throughout the story. there was even one plot twist that i really wasn't expecting!! the only thing that was not really my vibe was the now timeline, i get why it was there, but i would've liked the book even more if it had been edited down a little. nevertheless, i really do recommend everyone to read this book.
