I somehow managed to completely gloss over the fact this was a mafia romance and went in blind — all I know was that I wanted something dark to sink my teeth into.

Entertaining enough, and probably would have gotten a higher rating if the mmc didn’t go from being in denial to professing love in a dozen or so pages.

The smut was very lukewarm. There was a lot of build up and when we finally get to their first time together, it’s a vague paragraph (maybe an exaggeration, but it was short and not descriptive)

Plus, I don’t know if people actually found the fact that Rory used bird puns for everything “cute and quirk” because I just found it ridiculous and stupid. It annoyed me so much I actually sighed in relief when she *finally* cursed that *one* time

I tried to read this book last year and couldn’t get into it to save my life & I wanted to give it another chance this time around only for me to crank through this book like nobodies business 😭 woulda thought this book was a buffet the way I ate this book up!

The slow burn was slow burning in the best way! The tension was thick. Their sneaky adventures. The little moments Angelo showed he liked her. I swoon. I do wish we had more of a climatic romance and got to enjoy them together a lil bit better. Still good nonetheless!

If this isn’t proof I am a severe mood reader, idk what will!

Like 3 years ago this would have been good….now it’s a meh idk it was good for the day

I actually had to do a lap around the room multiple times while reading this book. It was the best kind of slow burn with such a rewarding pay off. The plot was actually really interesting too like I was really taken on a journey. Will be reading about the other brothers because come on, who doesn’t love a trio of mafia men who simp over their girls.

I enjoyed this book, but I was a little disappointed in Rory's 'sin' that she kept calling in to Sinners Anonymous about. Also, the whole thing with Rory's past with the boys she was in school with was sort of skipped over.

Decent story. It started off weird and slow but got better as time went on. I love the lengths Angelo went to get Rory and set her free. I admire his drive. I wish it had happened a bit sooner. She was so scared and so loyal to her father. She would have done anything. Alberto and Dante are pigs. Nothing was more sweet than Angelo ending Alberto. However, Dante and I believe Tor is going to be a major problem. Definitely going to read the rest of the series.
