This book was FREAKING Amazing!!!

Both characters were dealing with the loss and guilt of losing the person they cared about. They moved past their differences since they had to work together. This book took me through so many emotions but I wouldn't change it.
Payton and Gage were just amazing. The way they were both playing matchmakers was just adorable. This is my first book that I have read by Harloe Rae and It was just amazing

Solid small town romance! The whiskey bottle 🔥IYKYK!
I wish they would have shared and talked more about their relationships with Trevor since he brought them together.

This story had promise but fell a little flat for me. The dialogue between the characters was too cringey/naiveish to me (fanfiction like). The relationship between Rylee and Rhodes went from 0-100 (in only the steamy sense) on page at least so it was whiplash/jarring when they suddenly had these intense strong feelings for eachother. Everything was just too perfect and worked out too well with no real conflicts and everyone was just  go with the flow, happy with the relationships between the 2 MCs and their children. There were sweet and somewhat swoony moments, just wanted a little more out of this book.

This new book by Harloe was really good, I’ve never read a story where both characters are single parents so I enjoyed reading their interactions with their kids and all the banter between Rhodes and Rylee.

Rylee was Rhodes’ best friend’s sister and after her brother’s death she moved back to her hometown with her son Gage. She wanted to keep her brother’s bar open to fulfill his wishes so she started working with Rhodes as partners. At first they acted coldly towards each other and their decisions always differed but Rhodes knew Rylee just wanted to keep his brother’s memory alive so little by little they started trusting each other. Rylee knew what she wanted so she always stood up to Rhodes and I loved reading their moments together and how their feelings began changing.

Rhodes had a good life and his daughter was his top priority always. His friend’s death was very hard for him but Rylee appeared in the perfect moment, keeping the bar open was good for them and thanks to that they became friends and they had someone to rely on. They both were really good parents and I loved how their kids were determined to get them together, the interactions between all of them were the best and it was fun reading the kid’s games and questions.

Rylee and Rhodes didn’t have good experiences with love but their kids were everything to them and I loved reading how Rhodes was very determined to prove Rylee they deserved to be together. They were wonderful together and after everything they went through I loved how they became a family and how they got the happy ending they all deserved.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I liked Rhodes but I wasn’t especially attached to Rylee and I didn’t really care what happened to them. Also the weird food metaphors and the “coochie crave combo” really ruined it for me.

I honestly just didn't care for either of the characters and the reasons why they weren't getting together felt silly. The characters went hot and cold way too fast.
