Not much drama but I loved the whole single parents becoming a family. Rhodes is such a grumpy man but with Rylee he's the swoon master. And the spice is hot af 🥵🥵🔥🤌 Payton and Gage are absolute adorable masterminds. I squealed and giggled so much 🥰 I just loved the journey this book took me on with all the emotions, grief, healing and love. I'm so excited that this author has more single parent books.

I really really wanted to love this one, but some parts just didn't work for me. I really loved the concept and the small town setting.

Liked:
🍻 The kids were adorable and honestly realistic in all the questions they asked.
🍻 The fire and spark between the Rhodes and Rylee.
🍻 Small Town feel

Didn't Like:
🍻 The dialogue between these two characters was overwhelmingly cringey for me at times. I found myself skipping over parts.
🍻 Some of the side characters *cough the other bartenders
🍻 I felt like nothing really significant happened over the course of the book

Overall this one just didn't hit the right things for me!

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed Rhodes and Rylee's story. Their kids are so funny, I'm glad they got the happy ending they deserve.
