3.5... I'm not much of a memoir person but I love Gilmore Girls so had to read this... most of the book was just ok. I did love the sections where she talked about what it was like on the set of Gilmore Girls.

I'm not usually drawn to memoirs/biographies, but I wanted to check this out since I've been on a Gilmore Girls binge. I liked this book because it read the way that Lorelai speaks. It was fast-paced and witty. There definitely could have been more information (especially about her relationships with coworkers and comparisons between her characters v. her life), but it was a nice little peek in Lauren's world.
funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted reflective fast-paced

Full of lively fluff with a nice verbal scat on the horrors of modern technology.

A fun book. I especially appreciated her sections on writing.

Lauren Graham is a delightful storyteller and if you’re a fan of her acting you owe it to yourself to read this book. Hearing her read the audiobook version was a real treat.

just actually perfect

i’m sitting in an airport waiting to pick up family and crying over this really beautiful thing Lauren Graham shared with us.

4.25⭐️

this book absolutely bursts with personality. and it somehow got me to look at aspects of my life i’ve (for some reason) accepted as the norm.

for instance, how much smaller we make life by limiting it to a small screen, or how we shouldn’t force ourselves into roles that just weren’t meant for us; roles we have no connection to whatsoever. (i have people pleasing tendencies, so this message hit me in a very special way)

all in all, if i were to summarise this entire book in just two words, it would be, “surprisingly helpful”.

tldr: i read this for more insight into the makings of gilmore girls and its reboot, and i got more out of it than i expected <3
funny lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

Omg! I absolutely loved this book! Lauren is so funny and the way she wrote this was so much like talking to your best friend. I loved the behind the scenes talk and I loved hearing about her life. Love love love!
