This is a beautifully written book about a septuagenarian (Magda) whose best friend has passed away, and she is dealing with the grief of losing her. Magda is also on a search for identity as well. It is a good book, but I didn't relate to it as much as some books just because I am not in that place in my life yet.

Boring and incredibly slow. So much of this book was spent just describing scenery and people. There's not a lot of character introspection, the trip she goes on seems mostly useless since she spends most of the time in the car driving, and Magda is frustratingly self doubtful until the very end.
