I really enjoyed this one! I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did the first one but this one was still very fast paced and intriguing! I loved the plot and how the timelines jumped around each other to tell the story. I also loved getting to read the journal entries throughout the book as well. I think this book did a good job of showing realistic romance but and even better job at showing a realistic relationship with our parents. and how those thoughts and opinions we once had at 16 can change when we are are 22 or 32! overall a really sweet read!

This was my first ever romance/beach read. Main character’s name was a plant, and her ex called her Fernie, and her family/friends called her Baby jokingly from Dirty Dancing. Both were so trite and cringy.

I did learn about non parental postpartum depression for men.

I enjoyed this book! I thought the story started quick and stayed strong. I don't love a secret plot that is hinted throughout the book, especially when it ends up being somewhat anti-climatic (in my opinion), but I do like the two different timelines. I also don't love that Fern had to reach out to Will multiple times for them to finally talk, but I thought Will's personal struggles were explained well and made him more loveable as a character. I also thought their relationship came together in a reasonable way and timeframe at the end of the book.

Another great summer read Carley Fortune. I really loved Fern and her character development, but Will was kind of annoying and immature at times. Still cute, and not super cringey as far as romance goes.
