Serena Kelley is an archaeologist who specializes in magical, often demonic artifacts. She's protected by a powerful charm that keeps her safe and healthy, as long as she stays a virgin. Wraith is half-Seminus demon, half-vampire, and has generally been a jerk for large parts of his life because of early life tragedies. However, when he is poisoned, he goes after the only thing that can save him -- Serena's charm. Unfortunately, saving him will doom Serena, whose incurable disease can only be stopped by the charm, but saving Serena not only dooms Wraith, but his brothers and Underworld General Hospital itself, because they're all linked.

This may be my favorite Demonica book. Wraith has been an asshole through the first two books, but he really changes when meeting Serena, and the link between him and his brothers adds weight to his terrible dilemma. He may be willing to die himself, but does he choose to save his brothers or the woman he loves? Serena is tough, smart and spunky (if a little naive) and a great heroine. Overall, it's an excellent book.

Ok I'll admit, I found this a bit of a slog. I didn't really wram up to the characters and though the whole plot was intresting I just couldn't find myself rooting for the good guys.

I don't really like the idea for the demon hospital thing, and found this cloak and dagger act between Wraith and Serena a bit boring.

I admit I did like the cool twist where if she lost her virginity then she would die as a very good hurdle but found the nicely tided up ending abit boring.

I did like Lore though and I have bought his book to read. I also liked Gem (mainly cos her nickname is the same as mine.)

I have been waiting to read this book for far too long!!! Since I was first introduced to this series by my friend, Tom, I have wanted to read bad boy Wraith's story! I've finally had my wish come true and I loved every minute of it. I don't know what it is about Larissa Ione's writing, but I do know that I will be a fan for life.

Wraith is half-vampire, half seminus demon. And he has got a huge chip on his shoulder. Throughout this series, Wraith has been a major smartass and it has been sooo refreshing. He is a real 'take no prisoners' kinda guy. After suffering from a traumatic experience as a child, he endeavors to take his revenge out on all vampires. He has gone through the whole change the seminus demons go through and has never found a mate as his brothers have. I've been eager to see if someone was dumb enough to try and tame him. I know if it were me, I'd be terrified to go anywhere near him (even if he is freaking HOT). ;)

Along the way, something happens to him. He discovers that if doesn't take the virginity of a marked sentinel and obtain her charm, he will die. There's only one problem with that...marked sentinels are HUMAN and Wraith refuses to ever be with a Human Female...even if it means he dies. But there's something else...his life force and that of his brothers are all tied to UG. Since Wraith is sick and dying, bad things start happening at the hospital. Realizing that if it weren't for his bros and creating Underworld General, he could be already dead by now. So, he sets off on this quest to find the Marked Sentinel, Serena. Can he go through with it? Can he go against everything he believes in just to save his life and the one place the brothers hold dear? Ahhh, but you'll have to read it to find out.

So, when we starting the next one!?!?

My favorite of the series so far!

I loved the plot lines involving the auxiliary characters in this one. Gem and Kynan's story unfolds in between the action of Wraith and Serena's journey. Lots of action and steamy scenes with the backdrop of relic hunting and looming Armageddon. It was right up my alley! Now I want to learn more about Lore!

This was a great, "what to do, what to do?" moment for Wraith. At first it was only him he had to think about, then the hospital and later even the hospital and world. It wraps up the trio and some side characters but she manages to throw a new one in so that the next book can be written. Wraith finally connects with someone other than his brothers and it isn't even through sex though he wouldn't mind a bit of that too. It gets there as these are very erotic for PNR. Of course they are incubus demons. Still there is a great UF plot going on here and this one involves a lot of the future characters like Reaver.

I listened to the audiobook on reread and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Renee Raudman narrates this one. The last narrator, Hillary Huber, doesn't have a very good Wraith voice. It actually was a bit irritating in Shade's story. So far the books all have different narrators and looking ahead, this is the only one that Renee did. She did this as well as she does her others, she is very good.

I liked Wraith. I think it is because I have a thing for the bad guys. It is great to see him overcome all of his fears.

It took a little while for the book to grab me and pull me into it's pages. The world Larissa Ione builds is an interesting one but not having read the first two books of this series, I felt overwhelmed at the beginning with all the different species to sort through. But once I got past all that, I enjoyed the actually story unfolding. I would strongly suggest to read through the Glossary and the Compendium, located in the front and back respectively if you are new to the series.
The book is about Serena Kelley, a human charmed by angels, and Wraith a Seminus demon, and the end of the world as they know it. Wraith is poisoned by an assassin. His only hope of living is to seduce Serena and steal her charm. Serena, a virgin, was bitten by a demon as a child is she gives up her virginity she will die. The charm is the only thing keeping her alive.
I would have rated this story a 4 star if I hadn't had such a hard time getting past all the demonology at the onset. As with any series my strongest advise is to start at the beginning.

This is the book I've been waiting for since I started this series. I absolutely adore Wraith. His whole demeanor just oozes self-confidence and bad boy attitude. He has only a couple of rules when it comes to satisfying his Seminist needs, and this book is going to have him breaking rules. He gets really stuck between a rock and a hard place when he must break one of his rules to save his brothers, or break a different rule to save the world.

I think Wraith and Serena are perfect for each other! Their occupations are very similar and the adventure outside of the romance has them working together for a common goal. Even though they may not know quite all of the story. I did have some really sad moments for Serena when she has so much revealed to her all at once, but the whole gang comes together to battle the bad guy which in a way also helps Serena.

Another thing I loved was that a line of romance plot I'd been anxious to see about, and that I thought would probably get it's own book, gets wrapped up in this story as well. So you don't only get the excitement of the war, and the romance and wooing (is that still a word or did it go out of style?) of Wraith and Serena, but this other couple has a resolution (I least I think it is a resolution) to their situation. There is also an introduction to another character and I can't wait to see where we go with him.

I loved this book. The narration was great, and I was so into the story I still get choked up about it! Major things happening here folks, don't miss it!
