First of all, chapters 32 and 33 had me in a chokehold ๐ฅต
The spice in this one is ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ
I thought the mental health aspect (anxiety and trauma) was well depicted in this! The character development was really good! Maeve coming in to her own and building her confidence as an artist. And asher coming to terms with his anxieties and how it affects his relationships.

This book was cute and so much fun with a marriage pact and a solid friends to lovers trope. Asher + Maeve are adorable together and their chemistry was evident from the start. I think one of my favorite aspects of this book was the mental health rep. It was beautifully written. I found myself relating to Asherโs struggles, and really appreciating his vulnerability. It really connected me to his character. I also really enjoyed the Josie, Everly, Fable, and Leighton cameos. Overall, ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฅ๐ค๐จ๐๐ก ๐๐ก๐๐ฎ was another perfect book in the ๐๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฐ๐ค๐ฌ๐ฆ๐บ series.

One of my favorite hockey families returns with Asherโs story. Asher and his bestie Maeve make a marriage pact at her brotherโs wedding. And as they do it a switch flips in Asher and he starts to really see Maeve.
A few years later Maeve and Asher are in Vegas and Maeve is feeling down so they have a wild night and end up married . The next day planning to get it annulled; but suddenly the reasons to stay married outweigh the reasons to run. Can Maeve and Asher make it real?!
So much my wife and wife in this book!! Love love love!! Also girl sorcery has me rolling! I love this books evacuee I laugh through them!

This has to be one of my favorite friends to lovers books. Maeve our FMC is an artist who has been best friends (along with her brother) with Asher our MMC a star hockey player for over 10 years. During a wedding they make a marriage pack that they cash in Vegas after a local celebrity hockey auction. They do this has a joke but a picture goes viral and someone catches wind of the marriage. Since Asher is starting up a charity with Maeveโs brother and Maeve is awarded to do a mural at the hockey stadium, they figured staying married would be a good idea for a couple months. Things get complicated when they move in together and feelings start to surface.
Is it spicy?
I will say this, Asher buys 5 toys for Maeve that he uses on her and says 3 words to Maeve during a steaming no physical touching night.
Lauren Blakely is keeping in my Hockey Romance era and I am not mad about it!
I canโt wait for book 4!!
