Initially, I wasn't sure about this book, if I even liked it, or where in the world it was even going! All of the Peter Swanson books that I've read thus far, I've really enjoyed, but I have read a lot of mixed reviews about at least his last book so that left me feeling iffy.

However, it didn't take it lone (in true novella fashion) to turn into a true Peter Swanson story! I think he has perfect the art at a complete what in the world book? I think he has such creative, imaginative stories and that is part of why I love his books so much because it's crap that no one else would ever come up with and I LOVE IT!

It's not like I thought I was getting a cozy Christmas story with The Christmas Guest but cozy was the furthest thing that this story was! With a novella, I can't say too much without giving away the story, so all I'll say is do yourself a favor and read this book! You won't be disappointed and you'll get through it quickly!

Festive murder mystery, a cozy short read for the holiday season. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was definitely a shocking/surprising experience.

I’m so conflicted..? I feel like I can’t give it 2 stars because I didn’t DISLIKE it, but 3 seems like a lot because I also didn’t ENJOY it..? It started off slow and boring, then I was like ok now we’re getting somewhere, then oh wait this is getting good, then wait what just happened I’m confused. And I’m currently still at that point.
