I love a great Christmas mystery especially when it has a bit of a gothic feel! American student Ashley Smith joins her fellow art student Emma Chapman at the Chapman’s family home in the Cotswolds. Its what you’d imagine of a great manor at Christmastime. Grand dinners, lots of family, evergreen boughs, scarves and of course a handsome sibling. The parents are beautiful and frightening. Novellas are perfect for those dark winter nights!

This was my first Peter Swanson book, and it made me want to read all of his other books. It was great! I loved the gothic, Christmas atmosphere, and I enjoyed the twists.
