Tracy Deonn never disappoints!! Even on a reread of Bloodmarked I am blown away by her writing, character exploration, plot development, and social commentary. Such a timely and heart wrenchingly beautiful story. I hope I am mentally prepared to tackle Oathbound next!

I feel like I’m gonna have to come back and put my thoughts together better another time. Because I didn’t hate it but I also didn’t really love it the way I wanted to. I hate love triangles so I’m not invested in the love interests at all. I also feel like the magic system is super cool but I just can’t get myself to really care about what’s happening. 

I wish I could pinpoint what it was that I don’t like about this exactly. I’m gonna sit on in and come back later if I figure it out lol.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first one, there were a lot of mixed themes and messages, and I feel like a lot of the interesting background characters didn’t get enough time.

jah bless. this book stressed me out but boy couldn't i put it down. the last 60 pages were a lot but now i'm more excited for oathbound
