I love Avatar world and I love reading these comics. Imbalance has the weakest story compared to other books in this series. But when you love the characters and world-building the story lost its importance. I will continue reading other Avatar comics.

This series had new author and a new illustrator, and overall I thought they did great! My only complaint is that Katara didn’t look like herself in this one. The other characters all fit with the animated series and other comics but something about Katara was off. The plot was really good though!

I'm not sure, this is maybe among the weaker of the 6 graphic novels but its still an easy 4-star
The highlights are:
- how much it bridges the gap between TLA and LoK
- Suki
- yet another conflict that is not a binary good-evil divide, it's a complex issue addressed just about as well as a short graphic novel could
- Suki
The weaknesses:
- antagonist and family needed more fleshing out to raise the emotional stakes of it
- a couple of things were a little too predictable for the build-up and reveal to be as satisfying as they should have been
