This is the second book I've read by the author -- I continue to be thankful and humbled by the amount of labour that she offers in these pages. They help me to continue to evaluate and analyze my own privilege and actions rooted in it.

Started off not liking this book because it just seemed vitriolic. As the book continued, I think that it at least let me understand the perspective of someone that I didn't necessarily always agree with. But at the same time, starting to understand her more and the arguments that she forms, that really does inform the view of a lot of the people that I interact with daily.

Giving this 5 stars doesn’t feel like enough.

This is a really insightful book and very eye opening. The chapter "Socialists and Quota Queens: When Women of Color Challenge the Political Status Quo" had me in tears. "Go Fucking Play: Football and the Fear of Black Men" gave me a new perspective as well. Definitely recommend.
