There’s a group of four women who have been friends since college. One of them goes missing for 2 years and cannot account for her lost time. When she comes back to life (in a sense), said group of friends want to spend a weekend together.

What ensues is unsettling. Kinda creepy. Nothing too gory. There’s no doubt about the whereabouts of long lost friend after the weekend fun.

Loved the characters and their dynamic, loved the hotel and all the creepy stuff that happens along with the eerie descriptions. Not sure if I like everything regarding the explanation and the ending. Also, what’s up with so many stories where one of the big scary things about a character is eating raw meat? For one thing, in some cultures raw meat is common. For another, if it’s something like American raw meat since it’s so much more toxic than raw meat from other countries due to all the crap we Americans put in our livestock and meat, then yeah it’s gross but it’s not scary.

Did the audiobook. Was listening home alone at night, really amped up the spook. Thoroughly enjoyed this read.
