“I'd love to forget what happened at that party last spring.
And then what? Erase what happened afterward? Let me off the hook for my mistake? Even erasing the attack itself might mean that I'd get into the same situation again with worse consequences.
And if you erase the memory of the trauma, do you really erase the trauma itself?”

There is a level of suspending disbelief and then there is this book.

Firstly, go in completely blind to this one, the summary gives too much away. I went in blind and I'm glad I did.

Is this book technically perfect? Nope. When you think about it for too long does everything make sense? Nope. Do I care? Also Nope.

I started this book and devoured it in almost a single sitting. I loved the characters and I spent every second completely invested. This one is a 5 star for me because of how much fun I had reading it. Nothing else. I don't know if I'd rate it the same if I re-read it but I don't care. I had so much reading this I'm sad it's over.

what the fuck????

this was a great book actually, which i didn’t think at first

every single page furthered the plot, almost to an overwhelming degree. i had to read so many things twice because my mind wasn’t grasping all the information at once??? and even in the end i’m still confused about certain things
like why did blythes parents hate tucker when they thought he killed the kid but in the end when it’s revealed that tanya was the one who killed him they took tanya into their home?
but holy shit

This was a letdown.

This YA has characters who are 17 but theyre a very sheltered, naïve, Young 17 (so they seem closer to 13).

There was nothing exciting here. The story felt stale and the characters felt one note.

I almost DNF near the end when one of the characters
Callum
figures out who the bad guy is and goes to talk to them. We get to see the scene but the author chooses not to reveal who the bad guy is. It just felt like cheap and lazy writing.
