What fun! This is a really well-done YA thriller despite the premise being slightly outlandish. The pacing is perfect and the characters are an intriguing cast, particularly the twins Tucker and Tanya, although our narrator is a bit bland. The requisite romantic subplot did not slow down the action and was very believable.

"Do you want to do something bad?"
SOME IS ALWAYS WATCHING started off with a bang, quite literally. It is gripping novel, pulling the reader in as it is learned that memories cannot be trusted, at least not for the characters. SOMEONE IS ALWAYS WATCHING is a psychological thriller where memory alterations and experiments exist, changing what one knows to something entirely different. From the beginning, I was shocked---especially when I read what Blythe witnessed(Gabrielle k**ling VP Meek) and how she remembered it(Meek taking his life), but even more so learning about Tucker and Tanya, and eventually what Callum and Devon did. For a moment, before I realized that this book was focusing on, I was confused. Like the characters, it took me awhile to learn about the memory erasing+memory additions. SOMEONE IS ALWAYS WATCHING left me guessing, wondering, and shocked. I was eager to learn what each character ultimately did, how their memory was altered, and how and it changes their life now that they know. I also didn't see that ending coming..I thought it was someone else.
What I Liked About It:
*the memory wiping
*the fast-paced writing
*the final twist at the end

Wow! Someone Is Always Watching is a novel that I tore through so quickly I am surprised I don't have whiplash!
This novel is definitely a wild ride and I don't know what to say that won't give anything away so this is all you are getting:
A tight-knit group of teenage friends starts to have doubts-- after one of them has an unexpected break in their mental state-- about everything and everyone, including each other and themselves as cracks in their memories are surfacing.
I had no idea what was going on through 80% of this novel, in a good way.

Cool concept with a typical YA storyline. I enjoyed it, would have liked more weirdness and more focus on the nefarious goings-on and less on love triangles, but it was a good time. (That said though, I would have liked some resolution to the Sydney/Cassidy storyline since it was set up and didn't go anywhere.)
