This is a solid 4 star thriller! It consistently switches between the points of view between three sisters who were kidnapped during their childhood; flipping between sisters as well as "now" (current day) versus "then" (when they were kidnapped). I feel like that is an important note for those who struggle with non-linear timelines. I would definitely read another book by Louise Jensen.

The first part of this book seems like a typical mystery, it moves between current times and the past with the three sisters narrating different chapters. These girls have been through a lot and in the current time they are trying to deal with the upcoming anniversary of their kidnapping. The second part of this book throws a wrench in everything you think is going on in the first half of the book. It kept this story alive and interesting and how things aren't always as they seem. Definitely add this one to your TBR list.

Tense, twisting and constantly surprising, this psychological thriller will appeal to readers who love books that keep them guessing. Switching between past and present and between the three sisters’ different accounts, this is the story of the abduction of three girls. On the anniversary of the abduction the family are still struggling with the psychological aftermath of events and there are still secrets to be revealed. I have no doubt this will be a very popular read with fans of psychological thrillers. I enjoyed the read, however I had a few reservations. Motivation in a thriller is a significant factor in reader satisfaction, but it’s impossible to discuss in detail in a review without revealing the plot. For me, the motivation in this novel was unconvincing. I’m sure that bookclubs will enjoy debating this. The book frequently uses foreshadowing as a device and I felt it was used too frequently and was on occasion unsubtle. Again, I suspect other readers will disagree and enjoy the way this device is used to build up tension. With thanks to Netgalley and HQ for a digital copy of this book.

Wow! What can I say about this book in 1 word! Tremendous!!!
I consumed this book in book in 1 day as I could not put this down. From the 1st page till the last I was completely gripped! All though I would recommend all books from this author, this book was definitely on another level! The descriptive text and references were excellent, current and relatable.
I was constantly trying to guess and work out the where this plot was going and when I thought I had something -BOOM! It took me on a completely different journey!
This book was full of emotions throughout and was written brilliantly that the connection with the characters was so genuine and realistic. I can not recommend this book enough to anyone that enjoys a psychological thriller!!

This book really f**ks with your brain. The sisters have been through so much and they are just trying to live their lives. However, the secrets between them and the bomb that Louise Jensen drops really ratchet up the story and throw the sisters into a tail spin.

I am very much looking forward to reading more of Louise's work in the future.

I was hooked from the start. Following 3 sisters in dual timelines, with multiple points of view, this book ticks every box for a good thriller.

We follow the sisters on the day they are kidnapped and throughout their ordeal and then also in the lead up to the 20th anniversary.

A small town rocked by the unthinkable and three women facing the fallout I could not put this down. The mystery was interesting and the twists were excellent.

I would highly recommend this book for thriller fans.

A fantastic thriller. Very psychological and explores the fallout from a trauma such as was endured by the sisters in a new way. While not the lightest read, I can appreciate that it's well written!
