Holy heck that was a wild ride. Need to take a break from this series now because it’s so intense and devastating. It really sticks with me and gets under my skin. I’m in it for the long haul though. Looking forward to continuing the journey through Elena and Lila’s lives.

How come and Ferrante chooses to go from dull to awesome after you've finished almost half of the book? And what kind of sorcery is this that when I feel pretty assured that I hate Lila I finally pity and sympathise her? Lenu keeps getting on my nerves - she's more of a crybaby than anything else.
