Really struggling to pick this up. Possibly just too apprehensive about impending trauma 🥲

Full of heart. Surprisingly delightful read.
Can I be honest? I never watched the film as a kid and only sort of knew about some brutal animated bunny violence, so I didn't have any idea of what this story was actually about. In fact I had no super strong desire to read this, but on a slow day I was browsing at titles in my library and this was one of the only audiobooks I'd heard of so I put it on hold and forgot about the 60+ week wait I'd signed up for. So after a year of forgetting about it and reading other books I was super keen on, I wasn't super thrilled to listen to a book about rabbits as my last summer read 😂 All the same I preserved very slowly. Wasn't quite gripped by it, but the more I got to know tje characters and their rabbit language and rabbit religion they more just felt like my super cute furry human friends. These rabbits are so fleshed out. The story was so moving. Felt genuinely emotional about Bigwick and Fiver and Hazel. The final chapter is beautiful. Surprisingly reminiscent of the Hobbit. Would highly recommend.

Very creative epic novel about a Warren of rabbits - a classic for a reason! I was particularly glad to find this very enjoyable to read as an adult, but in regards to the plot and the language
My husband and I used this book for a bunny read ☺️
Why do these rabbits feel like my friends 🥲
