I think as the first one this is so charming and the setup is so fun, but I never feel like they fully seal the deal at the end. Sort of peters out for me.

As with the first book this is a cute, fantasy book. The banter between the main characters is quite funny. I love the characters personalities. I can picture the environment quite well. I liked that some secondary characters came in from the first book as well.

Better than the first

This book is even better than the Encyclopaedia! More Emily/Wendell, more Folk magic, more adventure. I don’t want their story to end, but I can’t wait to see what comes next.
