A fine book and I like the message. I think if I was reading this with children at school some of them would love it. I wish there’d been a little bit more on each person. The illustrations are beautiful though!

Sure, I don't think all of these women are flawless examples, but I think it is fine. After all, we don't erase, for example, male politicians from history lessons because they are problematic. If anything, it can be used to open up a conversation. This is a book I wish I had as a child. (The illustrations are gorgeous, and I spent a lot of time comparing the different styles!)

This is one of the most beautiful books I own! So inspiring and a must-read for all young girls and women!
Overall I liked it and I think it would be an awesome book to read to young girls. I enjoyed the artwork from the different female artists which added a nice touch. I was very impressed with the list of women chosen, there were women from diverse faiths, nationalities, fields, races, and time periods. I did have two small problems with the book that kept it from being 5 stars. First, for the most part everything was well written, but there were several noticble instances where really casual phrasing or slang was used that didn't fit into the life sketch they were giving. Second, the book would allude to things like rape, asassination, lesbian relationships, etc., but had to keep it kid friendly, so I found myself constantly having to look up the people on Wikipedia to get the full non-kid friendly story. This book made me really want an adult version with more complete, but still brief descriptions of the women's lives.
Obviamente a mis 22 años los cuentos no me encandilaron ni nada, pero sí dieron pie a que buscase toda la información posible sobre las increíbles mujeres que aparecen en este libro. Y eso era justo lo que quería.
Ay no me aguanté y lo terminé antes de que terminara la LC, pero el libro es tan hermoso que no se puede dejar de lado. #LeoNiñasRebeldes
