I don't know what I expected but this was more of disconnected abstract thoughts accompanied by gorgeous ink illustrations than even a vaguely cohesive narrative which would've packed more of a punch in my opinion.

But I think this would make for a wonderful gift to keep on a coffeetable or to get a child in your family.

Basically a self-help/affirmations book but in a very compact and cute style. The messages are lovely in itself, but also a bit on the trendy side I thought. In that sense, if you are looking for something like that, I'd almost argue it's better to go through this than 300 pages of a different self-help book with essentially the same content but a lot more fluff and example-based page-filling. I'd suggest picking it up if you see it at a library and just sit and read through it there, which I just did. Perfect setting for it! Whether the messages speak to you entirely or not, the sketches and drawings are heartwarming.

Very easy read. Based on reviews I thought this was going to be some kind of profound read, but it’s not really filled with an new ideas. Just pretty drawings.
